So Cal Viper Club President, Dan Everts was contacted by the head of NASA and offered the club

a special run group out at Willow Springs International Raceway in conjunction with one of their events.

Word went out and the response was great !!   We had 18 cars with a both ends of the spectrum in terms of experience.

The program for the day was very organized and well thought out.  All new drivers to the track experience were given an

in car driving instructor.  We were then broken down into 3 run groups with an experienced track leader to show us the proper line in a lead-follow.

This was by no means a "race" and safety, car control, and awareness was stressed throughout the entire event.  This was an ideal situation for

the track novices to get introduced to the track experience and truly learn what it is all about.

I participated in the driving sessions..........so consequently did not take very many pictures as my focus was on driving and having FUN  !!!

7 of us drove up early this morning.  Yes, we let the Vettes cruise with us as the owners of each are really good guys.

Dan spent a lot of time making sure that all us novices understood and were comfortable with the Track Environment.

This was my 4th time, but I still learned a few things and was reminded of all the little things that need to be done.

Thanks again Dan and Dave C. for taking the time throughout the day to check in on me.

Cathy was busy as always keeping track of the grid and all the details of our schedule.
