The 14th annual Coronado Speed Festival was this weekend.  I made a whirlwind drive down,

hung out with the guys and visited, then blazed it back up the 5 fwy to get home before noon .

Too much fun down there and I hated to leave so early.  The car corral was designated for

the car clubs and had some great cars on display.  There was a section for a judged car show

which also had some really nice cars.  Of course the Vendors area was neat to check out.

Walking through the drivers paddock was the best.  You could see some really cool vintage

cars, talk with the owners/drivers and get a great perspective on racing from the 1950's on up.
