One of our marquee events for the year was our trip to Arizona. When the President
of the Arizona Club, Rich and Kim Link, invited the So Cal Club to join in on their Sedona Run,
I immediately accepted. Kim and their event coordinator, Jeanette Goldfarb, took on the huge
task of planning this entire event. Every detail was well thought out and planned to perfection.
So Cal's part was easy....sign up, gas up, and drive !
THANK YOU AZ VIPER CLUB for inviting and hosting an incredible event !!! We all had an absolute blast.
Friday:
Members from all across So Cal met up in their local areas.
We all converged on a central meeting spot in Riverside.
Craig, Dolly, Art and Pheap
Jen and Jay
Paul and Teresa
We jumped on the 10 fwy and cruised along at a perfect pace with Art in the lead.
Next stop was in Blythe where we filled up gas and grabbed a quick lunch.
Scott is always working.
Just outside of Blythe, we crossed over the State line and took advantage of the 75 MPH speed limit
Peter was all smiles cruisin' along
We made excellent time and beat almost all the traffic in Phoenix
We arrived at the beautiful Talking Stick Resort ahead of schedule and the INCREDIBLE Staff
was ready and waiting for us.
Ron
We all had time to settle into our rooms, wash up and rest before meeting up with the
AZ Club.

Once everyone was there, we took a short 20 minute ride up to Pinnacle Peak Patio Steakhouse.
This was a really cool venue. It was like being transported back in time to the Old West. We ate
at table set up outside in the PERFECT AZ evening weather. A BBQ steak and chicken dinner was served
under the star filled sky. Something you would never get to do in So Cal.
They had live entertainment which was very good as well.

Inside the restaurant, there are 1000's of ties that have been cut off patron's neck if they
dared to wear a necktie to a Western BBQ.
There was a really cool rattle snake tank inside the restaurant as well. They are not that scary
(behind the glass)
This was a really cool place to visit, eat, dance and check out. It also was the perfect place for the
members of both Clubs to meet and socialize with each other and I know many new friendships
were made as a result of this perfectly planned event.
Saturday:
Sunrise came early after a fun night out and playing in the Casino
Eddie is the BEST !!! Knowing that I'm always running around doing stuff, he takes the time to
clean up my Viper. Viper guys are # 1.
The Arizona Club and the So Cal Club congregating and for the morning meeting.
Rich did the Driver's meeting, handed out maps and gave us a brief rundown of the day's events
I love this picture !!!
Our National VCA President also gave a quick talk.

After the driver's meeting we headed out of Scottsdale towards Sedona.
Our first stop was 90 minutes north in Camp Verde.
Demoe and Laura
Michelle
Mikan
We got back on the road and continued north almost to Flagstaff.
We dropped down into the Canyon and enjoyed the fun twisty road.
There was so much to take in. The fall colors were on all the trees and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL.
This was hands down, the most beautiful drive I have ever had my Viper on.
Everywhere you looked there was an incredible picture postcard. Problem was I was having
so much fun driving the road, I didn't know what to do. Luckily Lori grabbed the camera and
started taking pictures for me.
The cliffs and rock formations made your jaw drop.
We reached our lunch destination, Slide Rock State Park.
The AZ Club pulled some strings and got an entire parking lot blocked
out for our arrival.
A catered lunch in our own pavilion was ready and waiting when we arrived.
Gladys and Eddie
Art was happy to be first in line.

Marv did a little question and answer session.....He answered all our questions about
the Gen 5 car in great detail and filled us in on VOI 12. We got a ton of top secret
info, but we were sworn to secrecy. So for those who were unable to attend this AMAZING event,
you also missed out on all the latest breaking news.
Simply amazing................
I even made it into the group shot.
Mike with his pet mantis
After lunch and the group picture, we all walked down to the "Slide Rock"
The rocks are very smooth and a favorite place for people to go play in the water, sliding down the rocks.

From Slide Park, we continued down into the town of Sedona
We made a fast stop in Sedona with about a million other tourists....so we decided to head back to
Scottsdale.
AZ member, Mike Steg, was kind enough to stay with the So Cal group and lead us back.
A HUGE Saturday Tradition is the McDonalds Car show which takes place every Saturday.
So we just HAD to make an appearance and check it all out.
The Vipers were a big hit
There were some really cool cars there for sures
Sunday:
View from our 10th floor room
The Talking Stick Resort went above and beyond to take care of us during our short 3 day stay.
The entire first row of parking was blocked out and reserved for us.
If you are ever in need of a FIRST CLASS Resort while in Scottsdale, The Talking Stick Resort
is the place to go. They took extremely good care of all our needs and we owe them a huge
Thank You !
We hit the road back to So Cal at 9:30 am and made a quick stop at one of the rest areas.
It was nice to get out and stretch the legs.
Gladys
We moved along quite nicely and having the two way radios was a huge benefit.
Home sweet home !
While there is always a lot of credit directed to those who have taken on the job of coordinating these
events, the events are truthfully, only successful because of the participation and dedication of its members.
THANK YOU to all who came out from BOTH Clubs to support and enjoy a privilege that we as Viper owners
are lucky enough to be a part of.
