The first cruise I had ever attended after joining the Club in 2005 was with the group down in San Diego.

The run was set up and led by Dave Cawthorne and Richard Palkovic.  I'll never forget driving along the

back roads, having an absolute blast carving around the twisty roads and seeing the most beautiful countryside. 

The events down in San Diego were always my favorite events to attend and I cherish the memories and friendships

that came from driving with them. 

I think Dave and Richard would have been proud of our run today.   We had a great turnout of Vipers, perfect

So Cal weather, spectacular views along the entire route and most importantly, GREAT Club Members and friends !

We also had some special guests:   John brought his Calico Cruisers from Las Vegas and Don brought his Corvettes

of San Diego Club.   In all, we had 33 cars on this cruise and it was an awesome sight as we made our way from

Temecula to Borrego Springs.

The 3 Clubs came together in Temecula. 

The 3 respective Club Presidents addressed the group and then we hit the road.

It was really cool to see our line of cars stretch as far forwards and backwards as you could see.

We made a brief stop in Warner Springs to stretch our legs and visit with the other clubs.

Then it was back on the road.

The views were absolutely spectacular as we started our descent down to the desert floor.

A HUGE "Thank You" to Juan Carlos and the DeAnza Country Club for allowing us to invade their

beautiful private Club for lunch.

We parked on the perfectly manicured turf which led into the Country Club.

DeAnza CC set up a BBQ line with vegie burgers, hamburgers, polish sausage, grilled vegetables,

salads, pasta and fresh fruits.  This was extremely efficient and tasty !
