We set out early this morning in the typical June gloom overcast weather.

Dr. Eric was in the mood for biscuits and gravy, so a handful of the early risers met up

at Flo's Diner at the Chino Airport for breakfast.  

Not only was breakfast delicious, but Eric graciously paid for all of us !  Thank You again !

Driver's meeting

History lesson  101

After the driver's meeting, we hit the road for Lake Arrowhead.   It was a really fun road with

lots of great turns, beautiful big pines, wildflowers and of course the view down to the valley floor.

We had the special parking reserved for us in Cedar Glen where we ate.

A special Thank you to Ricky, owner of Borderline Restaurant.  He went out of his way for us

and prepared some great food.

The building that we ate in dates back to the mid 1800's.  Much of the exterior came from

the Nevada State Capitol building in the 1860's

This old west bar came from the Ormsby house in Carson City in 1892.

After lunch we took a short ride over to the Lake Arrowhead Village Center.

They blocked out parking for us which was really nice.
