There is a very special feeling when you board the Queen Mary, so it seemed like the appropriate

choice for our 2012 Holiday Party.  This was supposed to be my final event as President of the Club and

The gavel would be passed to the next talented member.

I knew the 2012 would be a very exciting year, especially with the new Viper being unveiled.  SRT's

presence was felt all across the Nation.  We were very lucky to have them right here in So Cal for

the Barrett-Jackson Auctions.  Throughout the year, the So Cal Club got closer and closer to the many

great people at SRT.

After months of trading emails, I was so excited to hear that Mark Trostle and his family would make the trip

out to SoCal as our guest speaker.  Huge THANKS to Art who really tilted the scales our way with the Disney

connection.  Turns out that the Trostle Family had never been to Disneyland !

Planning for the party started in January and really had to kick into high gear knowing that the Head of SRT

Design was coming.   I knew we had to make this one something EVERYONE would remember.

The Queen Mary was definitely a GREAT start !

What made it even more fun was that over 30 couples spent the night on board.

Last minute and I mean LAST MINUTE, talks with the awesome staff at the Queen Mary

landed our Club in the Grand Salon.  With its 30 foot ceilings and beautiful wood decor,

it had a definite WOW factor for the members as they entered the room.

We also had a great selection of silent auction items.  A huge Thanks to Viper Parts of America

for all their donations.

As everyone signed in, the members were given a white box which contained their own personal

centerpiece.

Mimicking our So Cal logo, and with the help of SRT who graciously donated all the

Gen 5 Viper Hot Wheels, I spent a a few minutes throwing these together  : )

In the end, it is really the AWESOME Members that make up our Club the reason our events are so much

FUN.  We have a very special Viper Family and Lori, the Girls and I love every minute spent with you all.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS and we'll see you all in 2013 !!!

Out takes.............

It is always fun to create and build things.  This was an especially fun project to work on

throughout the year.   I can't tell you how many different steps each base had to go through,

but once it was all done, it was soooo cool to see them all lined up.

Not wanting to leave the Ladies out, I decided to try my hand at jewelry.  These are made from ebony, engraved with the

logos and hand filled with liquid gold leaf.   It was tedious and very time consuming, but oh so worth it !
