Lyle Larson and DC Performance will be hosting a series of Thursday night Drags

at Irwindale Speedway through out the year.  The goal is to learn and get comfortable

with running on the drag strip.  Lyle made special arrangements for us to walk the track

and get a behind the scenes look at the drag strip.  It was really cool to be able to do this.

We arrived early and got in line.  The gates opened at 4:00. 

We paid our $20.00 and then headed to tech inspection

Bob is the track announcer and pretty much runs the show on Thursday nights.

He gave us a lot of very useful information

It was amazing how sticky the track was, almost like walking on flypaper.

After our first lesson on the Track Anatomy, we headed for the cars and lined up in the staging area.

It was pretty cool to see them launch and still spin tires knowing how sticky the track was.
