After a couple weeks of very cold weather, we were greeted with a typical beautiful SoCal day.
Blue skies and temps in the 70's made for a perfect day to be out in the Viper. I met up with Tom, Peter,
Bruce and Matthew in Seal Beach at Spaghettinis early on Sat morning. The 5 of us cruised along at a nice
clip up the 405 to meet the others at the Denny's in Sylmar.

We all hung out and visited for a short while, then made the short drive over to R & S Automotive

Eddie Reinsma owns and operates this beautifully designed auto repair center. Eddie graciously
offered to bring in his employees on their day off to do some tech service on our cars.
We had a brief meeting and then got right to work.
Our Event's Coordinator, Anhtuan, took command and got everyone set up with the services
that they requested and gathered the lunch order.
Many of the guys did a full fluids change.....some like Peter's definitely needed it !
I have always wanted to have my alignment checked and this was a perfect opportunity to do so.
This Hunter alignment machine is state of the art and extremely accurate.
The digital control and computer system really give you an accurate representation of what all 4 wheels
are doing in relationship to eachother.

LUNCH !!!
This is the Quickie Lube alley. Cars roll in, they drain the oil into a catch tray below the
yellow grates.
Here we are in "the pit" which sits directly below the grates . The red catch trays are where the old
oil goes. Below that are huge black tanks that are filled with brand new fill lubricants that are pumped to
the service bays. This eliminates the need of having messy 55 gallon drums of different oils taking up valuable
floor space in the work area. This is a well thought out and first class repair shop that was designed and built
by Eddie. Nice work !
You can see the red hose reels hanging from the rafters. This is where the lubricants from "the Pit" are pumped to.
Odie is all business and making sure we all stayed in line
Teaching the guys about brake pads....e-brake pads to be specific.
A few of the Vipers were in desperate need of inner e- brake pads. This is very often overlooked
and can be very expensive if not taken care of.
Nap time : )

Thank you Eddie, Dylan and the entire crew for working on a Saturday and
letting us all hang out, watch, learn and benefit from your expertise.
