Dodge SRT sent out a special invitation to all Gen 5 Viper owners for a special Viper Experience

held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  It was a short notice, but Ben called me and said

"We HAVE to do this !"   So we got signed up and booked our flight to Las Vegas.

We got into Vegas and headed to our hotel where we met up with our Viper buddy Matt for dinner.

We got a decent nights sleep and woke up early, excited for our our day at the track.

We pulled into the center of the track and right into the media center.

The view from there was great.

We walked into the registration area and knew we were at home when we were greeted by

Kim and Stpehanie

John Hammer gave us a run down of what we were in for.  This was the very first time they

have ever done anything like this and we were the lucky few that got to do it first.

After the short talk, we headed out to the track.

It was instant testosterone as we saw a bunch of beautiful 2014 Vipers waiting for

us on the ground and an awesome array of fighter jets from nearby Nellis AFB.

They were right over our heads and just pumped us up even more.

John explained the rules for the Auto-x and warned us about the penalties for eating cones on the course

Then we hit the cone course

It was a great honor and pleasure to meet Stephanie Reaves.  She is not just a pretty face.

She is INCREDIBLY FAST.   She is the first woman in history to earn a Professional Motorcycle

Drag Racing License and qualify at a NHRA National event.  She has broken many different

World Records and is the real deal.

Maurice was there shooting pictures to document this event and immediately found the

incredible TA

Maurice got down and dirty to get the perfect shot

Next up was the road course

They had the Vipers lined up for us and we were all itching to get in and drive

John explained how the things that we learned on the Auto-x would help us out

on the road course.  The instruction that we received was extremely helpful.

Our driving instructors

Ben and I shared the White Viper with Pro driver Kyle Whisner.   Kyle started racing at the young

age of 9 and by age 17 had competed in ASA, USAC and NASCAR and was credited as a

Veteran driver.  He was extremely knowledgeable and I learned a lot from him every time we went out.

It was nothing but smiles for Ben and I after all the hot laps

After all the driving, we headed back to the Media Center where the top Auto-x times were given.

Congratulations to Ben for his 1st place finish.  Brad had a great time to get 2nd followed by

Sam in a very close 3rd.

This was an extremely well organized and run event which catered to the Gen V Viper owners.

Thank you to all who worked so hard to put this event on for us.
