Eddie and Michelle set up another GREAT event for the Club.  We all left the city concrete

and headed for Santa Clarita.  Back in the early 1900's, actor Harry Carey moved to the

Santa Clarita Valley to ranch and produce Western movies.  The entire area was made up of

small isolated communities and really did not see much growth until the 1960's when the I-5

opened up.  Once the freeway opened up, suburban growth took off and the entire area has

developed into a beautiful community with lots of great history.

Eddie and Michelle did a great job setting up a tour of the Harry Carey Ranch and providing us

with some of the rich local history.

We met up and filled the tanks with gas before we headed off to meet Eddie and Michelle

Eddie gave us our driving instructions and we headed off for a beautiful fun drive on the twisty canyon roads

he Vipers all staged and ready to roll

Our canyon drive worked up our appetite by the time we reached the Robinson Ranch Country Club.

They had a delicious lunch buffet set up and waiting for us.  The open air patio overlooking the course

and valley was perfect !
