The Doc invited a bunch of the Vipers to his Eastern Sierra Run along with a bunch
of guys from the So Cal Mini Maniacs and the Ford GT Clubs. What a great variety
of cars with a bunch of very fun, enthusiastic car folks. We had such a great time
start to finish.
Thank you Eric for all your hard work and continuous efforts to put on these runs for us.
A light post in Lone Pine gets a Club marking for each trip through.
We had a tasty lunch at The Grill in Lone Pine and when it came time to settle our bill, Eric had already
picked up the tab ! Thank you again Eric !
After lunch we took a drive up to Lake Sabrina. It has been over 40 years since my last visit
to the lake and it brought back so many great memories.
With all the rain and snow, the lake was filled to the top and provided spectacular scenery.

Back at the hotel, everyone gathered around for some pre dinner drinks and relaxing
Saturday morning gave way to perfect weather and Eric gave us our driving itinerary for the day.
At the halfway point, we were greeted by the Mayor of Mammoth and continued on the
most incredible driving roads I have ever been on.
How Joel managed to keep all the bugs off his car, i will never know.
Miles and miles of open road for us to gobble up.

We checked into our hotel and then headed to the Mammoth Lodge to catch the gondola
to the top of the mountain.
Wish I had my skis.....it has been far too many years since I have jumped off the Cornice
Eric wanted us to bring back some snow for him. Here is proof that Melissa packed a bag for him.
On Sunday morning, we headed to Devils Postpile for a beautiful 7 mile hike.

It was quite a hike back in to Rainbow Falls.
We certainly weren't disappointed. With the rivers flowing at full strength, the rainbow was easily visible
We hike further down to see Lower Falls
One last pass by Devils Postpile which is something everyone should take the time to do.
It is simply amazing.
This will be a lasting image and memory from another great weekend spent with the viper,
great friends old and new and we look forward to the next one !!!
