Mount Wilson is perched high above Los Angeles and has been around since 1904.  The land was originally

owned by the Mount Wilson Hotel.  They had to bring everything up a tiny dirt trail by mule.  Persistence,

money and determination to keep building a bigger and better telescope made Mount Wilson the greatest

Observatory in the world.  We planned a day trip up to the Observatory to tour the grounds.

We met up in La Canada and then headed over to Mike's house where he hosted breakfast for us.
