The Southern California Viper Club was contacted by Torque TV looking for a Viper GTS to go against a Superformance Daytona Coupe

The Daytona Coupe was a beautiful car packing more HP and torque than my basically stock GTS.

It was amazing to see the similarities between the 2 cars.  Doug's Daytona is even painted with the Viper steel gray and silver stripes.

I had a great time visiting and taking smack from Doug and his buddies.....but in the end my Viper outperformed the Daytona by 3 seconds on the track and was faster in the 1/4 mile by just under a second.

Awesome brakes and better car balance made Sam Hubinette feel very comfortable behind the wheel.

He turned an easy 1:33 fastest lap of the day in the Viper !!!!!

After track time, it was time for "beauty shots"

The VW had its tire come apart at 140 mph just before turn 1

Drag races where the Viper did really good turning in a 12.4   1/4 mile time
